I'm putting together an Armoured Recognition Package for some troops, and I found this thing. It's obviously an Armoured Mortar Carrier. The pic name says it's Turkish. Looks like an M-113, but I don't recognize the turret. Mortar looks to be 120mm. I googled the heck out if it, but can't find any more. The second is some sort of MLRS half-track, supposedly from Brazil. Looks to be fairly old. It's titled "Centaur". Once again, I can't find any more like it. Little help? Delta, you mind using your computer kung-fu in a semi-good cause?

does anybody have anything on the AMRAD 76/62 anti-aircraft system? I have one photo, and would like more, as well as any background info.

I haven't seen one of the mortar carriers, but from the amber light on the tripod and what appears to be some other hardware in front, I'm guessing it's a test rig of some kind, may be a "one of a kind" proof of principle type system, on a test range.

PC,
that is RO Systems 120mm AMS II mortar turret which is made for the Warrior, the M113, and other light armored vehicles. Here is a link to the British Version called the M113A2 RO120:
http://www.jedsite.info/fulltrack/mike-number-us/m113_series/ro120/ro120-intro.html
[quote]"The 120mm AMS (armoured mortar system) is the most mobile and responsive mortar solution, offering maximum crew and system protection and delivering effective firepower to a range of 9.2km.
Developed by RO Defence and Delco Defence Systems, the 120mm AMS is a survivable, mobile, fire-support weapon system for mechanised forces. Its fully integrated fire- control system eliminates the need for survey to allow fast and accurate targeting for indirect and direct-fire missions. The system is optimised to fire all existing 120mm smoothbore ammunition, SMART and carrier munitions.
The 120mm mortar system has been mounted and integrated on a wheeled LAV 8x8 chassis (in collaboration with Delco and General Motors of Canada) and an M113A4 tracked vehicle. Seventy-three LAV-wheeled systems have been produced and tested for Saudi Arabia, firing over 11,000 rounds of ammunition. Host chassis include; Piranha/LAV, M113, Warrior, Marder, Pandur, BMP3 and GTK/MRAV."[end quote]

Even the Canadian Army is thinking about putting these turrets on some Leopard tanks: http://www.sfu.ca/casr/101-mortar120.htm http://www.sfu.ca/casr/id-fisher1-4.htm

Delta, so it's the same turret as this? I didn't recognize it on the M-113. Thanks!

anybody have any pics/info on the Amrad 76/62? I know it's an Italian anti-aircraft gun, but other than that, I can't find anything.
Also, some pics of the Cobra armoured car and the Dardo in the anti-aircraft role would be greatly appreciated. I can only find one of each, and that ain't enough for what I have in mind.
same with the Korean K263a1. It's the anti-aircraft version of their APC. I know some of you Korea vets have some pics of this beast somewhere. (Kurt?)
