"I know there were a lot of guys PO'd in December of '89 while we were sitting in the Sinai. I was really shamming as a lifeguard on Herb's Beach for 6 months. SSG Green from 1st Platoon was the NCOIC of the Lifeguards, and he squared me away with a slot. Afterall, I was from Florida and could swim. We actually had a great time over there, but it did suck coming back to Bragg and getting grief for missing the Panama action.

Greetings from at attached 13F cabbage head!  I was in C 1/319 FA, and supported 2/505 for 3 years.  My best memories are of Cpt. Cole, a hardcore SOB who was a great company commander.

84-87.  For some reason, I'm having a hard time remembering what Co. I was attached to.  The folks I remember clearly were a guy named Miller, who was from Alabama, a guy named Stevenson, who was from Canada originally, and Strock, who eventually (and purposefully)  ate his way out of the Army (through the fat man program).  I remember Lieutenant Schaefer also.  Do any of these sound familiar?

We had a Bryan Miller and Mark Stevenson in my Mortar Platoon. Bryan was an E-5 when I left as was Mark. Mark was tall, like 6'3 and had tats on both forarms. Bryan was a blond, blue eyed guy from Goose Creek, SC.

The othe names do not sound familiar to me.

One of our FOs names was Marconi. He was a PFC I think. Used to call fire on "Nuns and Orphans in the open. White Phospuras in effect"

I remember Marconi.  Super-intelligent. Our structure went like this:  We had a FIST platoon, and each squad in the platoon was dedicated to an infantry Co.  So the guys I was talking about came from one of the other companies.  My first infantry platoon Sgt. was SSG Mayo.

I was an FO with 2-505 from 1985-1989. I supported A CO & B CO. Having served with many Infantry elements over the past 20 years, i have to say the 505 was the best.
