Thanks for the help. Looks like Blacksmith 6 is correct. Found the patch on the HJ Saunders site (never been there before-that site is great http://www.susmi.com  It shows the combined Recruiting Command and tab as being issued from 10/72 to current so that should be correct for him. Going to go with the AG brass. with BS6's info and having found some in his box along with his quartermaster emblem you have to figure it's right.

     HH6 liked the display so much so far that she wants one for her medals. The main problem with both of them is their cases are missing the most important thing.....the wings...damn legs....
