Whoo-Hoo!

Last evening was an awesome display of "Celebratory Gunfire"
Downtown BD was "treated" to spontaneous bursts, off and on for hours. Kinda be one of those "down the road" when the question is asked "WHERE were YOU when Saddam was captured?"
"Easy" "4.5 KMs southwest of the Airport in Baghdad, Iraq."

Stay Safe, Happy Holidays!

Hey, keep your head down and have a GREAT holiday season!!

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.

Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." - Benjamin Franklin, 1759

"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,
Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.

One died for your soul; the other for your freedom."

Talked to my son on the phone last night. He said it sounded like the 4th of July in his neck of the woods.

Just wonder what the injury rate is there from these "Celebrations".Firing of weapons into the air as a form of celebration is a little nuts. What goes up must come down somewhere.
Keep your head down and under cover when they Celebrate!! Must have been incredible being there in Iraq for this!! Keep up the great work!!

173d took a casualty in kirkuk due to celebratory fire. a soldier was on patrol downtown when he was hit with an ak47 round in the shoulder. whenever they started firing like that, we learned to take cover..
