I want to put this out to get people to start thinking about this. The annual Static Line Awards Festival will be April 13-17, 2005. I am planning on attending. I expect Jmpmastr and his HH6 to be there. After missing out on the opportunity to do the live fire on Red Cloud Range last year I think Delta6 will be there for the Ft. Benning trip this year. I am hoping that now that our webmaster is gainfully employed he will be able to get away for this one.

Just wondering who else will be around to get their money's worth out of the hospitality room. As soon as I see a schedule of events I will post it.

Ahhh nothing like supervising drunken PLFs off of the Hospitality room tables at 0330 hours. The briefings are awesome and there is lots of stuff to see and do as well as pinning wings on BAC grads at Ft. Benning. Do not miss this event!

Stand in the door!

I have not missed the Static Line Awards for the last number of years, and will be there again in 2005.

Two years ago I brought one of my grandsons.  It may be time again to bring a grandson along.    Of course, then I will have to deprogram his behavior from what he may pick up fom the P.net contingent

Hope to see you all on the firing range,  if Don Lassen can swing the same deal as last year with the AD powers

Al, since you will be a serving National Director by that point plan on attending the installation of officers for my Chapter in Anniston on Saturday morning. Mannie, the National President(whoever that may be) and whatever NDs attend always drive over for that. You can ride with me as that will keep you from having to arrest the Executive Director.

This event is really a lot of fun and there are troopers from WWII, all the different branches of service, some well known celebrities (this year Don King is scheduled), the 82d Chorus, free booze, trip to Benning, free booze, music, Airborne PX, free booze, briefings by Bde. Commanders from the 82d and 101st Abn. Divisions, brunches for spouses, free booze, and a hospitality room that stays open until the wee hours of the morning...serving free booze. So if you want to meet up with some crazy P-net members and like .....free booze, then this is the place to be. Last year we also got to fire everything from an M4 to the M107 Sniper Rifle in .50 caliber as well as have lunch with some Airborne students and pin wings on the latest grads from Basic Airborne. Did I mention the free booze?

I received the latest copy of The Static Line yesterday with the schedule for this year's activities. The schedule does have the firing demo listed for Ft. Benning on Thursday. So who besides Delta 6 and Jmpmastr are going to take the trip with us and get the opportunity to fire the .50 cal? Still waiting to see if our webmaster can make this one.
