It's hard to follow this,but as one of the participants,I was appalled.He is an intelligent person,but these ideas are off the chart.They lack any modicum of decency,or any of the values we are instilled with.Like I said to him in the conversation:"So did Himmler and the SS".Just blew my mind that someone could seriously propose such things.[ !][!][82nd][E6][uswingsr][infantry][scout]

If this kid were active duty or is active duty his COC should be notified. This is not the type of soldier we want in today's army. Period End of Subject.

Exactly!!!!! Any soldier who was trained like that would kill civilians and commit attrocities outright in war. There would be My Lai's everywhere the troops went. Then when they got home, they would start killing here and wind up as the next target on the live fire range.
ELF, what you are talking about is turning a MAN, a HUMAN BEING with a soul, into an animal or a machine. You need to put down the Nazi books and pick up the New Testament before it's too late for you.
I am sure that the Tango's that flew those planes into the WTC and Pentagon on 9/11 would have really liked your ideas. I'm sure OBL would agree with your methods. The kids that killed at Columbine probably would have like them too. You need to think about that.
Because if you don't start to reattach yourself with the rest of society/humanity and be a human being with fellings, you will wind up on death row one day.
A soldier is far more than just a killer. You need to watch "We were Soldiers" over and over again until you get that message. If you don't shed some tears during that movie, you are not human.

If life has no meaning to you then that means the mans life on your left and right have no meaning and there fore they can't depend on you.
And as far as this little plan goes ....Well.... son you need to visit the TMC and have a talk with some one because you just plain don't get what we are fighting for. Oh and by the way it didn't work for the SS remember, they got there ass kicked

I second that Joel, just makes no sense at all. How could a kid get that kind of idea from going to Basic an AIT ? They dont train that stuff there.
Honestly ELF, think about it man. Until you have stood on the battle field and had to face it you just wont get it. You have got to be connected to the guys on your left an right in order for it mesh.

Who says that the troops aren't emotionally disconnected to taking the lives of our enemies? I would say that over the last couple of years we have taken a lot of their lives and I haven't seen anything that indicates there has been any hesitation in doing so.
