JR, sorry you and Blacksmith6 couldn't make it. We had a good time. They did not allow the reenactors to jump because of high winds(I don't think it was that bad, and think had this been BAC students at Benning they would have jumped). Demos by the 5th Bn., RTB on hand to hand, fast rope/SPIES extraction and a Blackhawk jump. Now if Jmpmastr can get the smell of mothballs out of his jump suit his HH6 might actually let him wear it.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Yep Barry it's been washed but still has that great "old uniform" smell of yesteryear. Maybe I'll model it at JR's getogether.

As promised! Pics from Toccoa Airborne Days. Myself(JMPMASTR), my HH6 and Barry (509) attended the festivities in Toccoa. These pictures are of some of the awsome Renactors and the Rangers from Camp Frank D. in Dahlonega. The Airborne Renactors didn't get to jump but the Rangers did get to jump due to their sterrable MC1-1s. There was a Rangers in Action Hand2Hand  demonstration, and a SPIES extraction by Blackhawk. Later we strolled down the road a klick or so and witnessed WWII Paratrooper and German renactors recreate a battle in a field. Both groups were impressive and there were plenty of weapons, equipment, clothing, etc. to recreate a bivouac site. The was also a demo of rifle grenade marksmanship with a bullseye target set up.
