I need to apologize to everyone.  It seems I'm the one that got everything screwed up.  What do you expect from a pogue.  My son went today for a PT test.  He passed with flying colors although he said it was twice as hard as taking one with his old company.  He is going to RIP not ROP and then to 1st Batt.  He has to wait for another class to start which won't be until August.

Best of luck to him!  Have him drop by here when he's got a second to take a breath!

furham, best of luck to our son, but tell him luck has little to do with it.

Barry and John, when I went through RIP in '86 we did have some none tabbed E-5s in our class.  They were the quatermaster and clerk type.  I don't know if that has changed.  Even if it hasn't it is rare for the regiment to allow an untabbed CPL or SGT to attend RIP unless they are critically short on a particular MOS.

ROP is intended for ranger-airborne qualified personnel (NCO and officer) who have never served in the regiment or are coming back after some time away, regardless of MOS or branch.  RLTW!

FLEAtheGRUNT started RIP today although he told me they didn't get anything done due to the weather..  We'll see how it goes.  Too many distractions.
