from a LEO perspective, you should definately call and file a report for telephone harrasement. Start logging dates, times, that he calls and keep copies of all messages he leaves you. 

Not sure if all telephone companies are alike, but here if you dial *57 after he calls you it will trace the originating number and the phone company will have a record of the trace.  it DOES cost a fee to use that service though.  Once you have traced the number a few times, filing charges on said retard should not be a problem.  Even though it is a pain, you need to cover your ass.....

Section 653(m), subsection (a) California Penal Code -states, "Every person who, with intent to annoy, telephones or makes contact by means of an electronic communication device with another address to or about the other person, any OBSCENE language or addresses the other person any THREAT to inflict injury to the person or property of the person addressed or any member of his or her family is guilty of a MISDEMEANOR. Subsection (b) covers repeated phone calls using the same language and or threats.

File a crime report. Now.

Again I wanted to say thanks for the support from all my Bro's. Every bit of advise has been taken to heart and all the emails this freak has received from all you Devils in Baggy pants has for the moment stopped the calls and emails from him. When you come up against a BN of Paratroopers you better be at least Division strength or your odds of survival are next to nothing and we can call this one another Victory for the Sky Troopers. Ebay does know his real identity, assuming he registered using his real identity.  However, Ebay will probably not give that up without a subpoena.  That is why filing reports and getting traces is needed.  3 traces will do it in most areas.

Also, California law may not be the be all and end all.  Look up the law in your home area and in Ebay's homebase.  Internet law is fuzzy, but there is precedent for bringing original jurisdiction close to you.  He would have to appear in your home state rather than you having to travel.  Also, penalties where you or Ebay reside may be stiffer.

Do this by the book, don't stick it to him or you could find yourself in his boat.

Aliveankiken, I sent him an email asking about his Military Bio, but he has not responded. Since you sold him an item on Ebay, you can get all his personal information, such as address and phone number,  etc.

Roger that!!! I have all his info, Thats really the easy part. i've talked to all the LEO I could starting with my hometown and ending with his hometown, the same answer and advice from all of them. Document the messages and if the guy was to show up on my door step I'm covered in case I went midevil on him. Other th
