Mrs. Bullish and Bullish,
My heart goes out to you. As a parent of a children with life
long health problems, I understand the pain that is going on with these new discoveries.
I would encourage you to FIRST, seek God. Which you obviously are. As you are seeking HIS council, seek the peace that only can come from HIM - the peace that passes ALL comprehension. Remember, all it takes is the faith the size of a mustard seed and you can move mountains.
Secondly, explore your options. Seek advice and second and third opinons. Find a Level One Medical Center to look for answers. These are the teaching hospitals and usually very up to date on info and technology. Ask questions and don't be afraid to tell the Doctors to break down to language you can understand and don't be afraid to make them wait for you. Remember, you pay their Salary.
Lastly, your D-A-D or M-O-M far outweights any PHD or MD.
As a side note, the last I knew Cochlear (sp?)Implants is permanant and cannot be reversed or improved.
I love signing with deaf children, they are so unique.
You ought to see their faces when the hearing dude actually carries on a conversation with them. It's such a neat experience.
