All of the clothing you will be allowed to wear prior to graduation from AIT will be issued to you, with the possible exception of running shoes. Make sure you have a good set with you that are already broken in and comfortable.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I never wore boxers till I had them issued to me back in 89. They served me well in basic training. Unfortunately, I don't think they issue them now. I would buy them, but they don't seel them at clothing sales anymore. [!]

I prefer to wear briefs for running though.

Sword... you are crazy! I got some of that Gold Bond (I think it was a blue bottle) on big Ed and the Twins recently at OCS Phase One, and it was no fun. I do not recommend the numbing effect of the Gold Bond Medicated Powder. It is not a pleasant feeling.

If they told you to bring it then you bring it.
