The correct and updated information on Combat Jumps recently performed by Combat Weathermen is:

2 X static-line in OEF
2 X static-line in OIF

3 were mass tac, 1 was not.

That's all I know, and/or can share about it at this time.

I'm pretty PROUD of those guys, I can tell you...

Hoo-YAH!

OK, so have you CRG types started wearing the combat star on your jump wings before the US Army has officially called it a combat jump?

Just curious, because I don't think the USAF is going to go out on a limb and declare it a combat jump if the US Army doesn't do so...

I think it SHOULD be a combat jump, BTW - But I also think you should wait until it's official before wearing the "stain."

Just My Unsolicited Opinion...

JR

ive personally seen a few of the tacp's wearing their mustard stain from the jump into n. iraq with us. I dont know if they have a different awarding authority but i was pretty surpised to be in the shoppette line and see a big yellow stain staring at me.

WHY HASN'T THE ARMY LABEL IT A COMBAT JUMP YET?

I THOUGHT THEY HAD. WHAT'S THE HOLD UP?

I FIGURE IF THE JUMP WAS REAL WORLD, OPPOSED OR UNOPPOSED, AND THE MISSION WAS CONTUINIG OPERATIONS IN A DESIGNATED COMBAT AREA, THEN IT WAS A COMBAT JUMP.
