I've been searching around and I found a web site that said Airborne school only takes up 8 hrs of the day for the 3 weeks.. Is that true? I went to the fort Benning airborne site, and it didn't mention it.
For some reason I figured that it would be like Basic with the jumpmaster forcing you to jump off of random things all day long, and people yelling at you... I guess it makes sense, though, because the majority of Abn students are probably e5+.
Any info on the way the school happens would be appreciated! I always like to be prepared, if possible!

wouldn't you know it... as soon as I posted this, I decided to search a bit further and found this:
quote: The days start early and the nights run late with the vast amount of knowledge and hands-on training crammed into this three-week course. Students are up and running at 5 a.m. They train straight through until 5 p.m., when most head for the gym or go off to study techniques learned that day. Due to the high-risk nature of the training, there is very little margin for error."

I think it was Tom Clacy, who has a book titled "Airborne" that is a fairly good source of what you'll go through.

This is a recruiting question and will be moved to the Recruiting Forum.

I never saw anyone with enough energy to go to the gym after a day of training, and I sure never saw anyone "study" the techniques they learned that day.

I did work on my "Exits" in the Barracks prior to preparing for the next day(Spit Shining Boots, Pressing Uniforms). This was something my roomates and I decided on doing. It was self inflicted Corrective Training, due to us all being Recycled. There were 8 of us recycled in Ground week and insted of giving up like a whole lot did (about 10 others) we decided to push ourselves and each other even harder. We had to wear a "G" for Ground Week on our Kevlars and decided to call ourselves the "Golf Team". Amongst our "Squad" we recieved Zero Gigs and experienced no future failures during the Course. We turned the Embarresment we all felt in being Recycled into Pure Motivation and teamwork. Other than that though I do not recall too many Students having the energy to go to the Gym or much of anything else afterwards.Well except for Friday night of course [bncy][drunk]
