At the risk o0f getting tossed off this net, I would like to put the following up for discussion: What are the quals for advising future recruits. I am not airborne, made no claim going in. If you check my profile, it's all there. My question is.....How does this site monitor those that offer advice to prospective service members. I have just been involved in a link in which someone offered advice on entry into the service, but in pulling up their profile I found NO referance to any service. How can someone with no service advise on entry into said?

Okay, since you sent the e-mail to me I will respond. You are right, my profile doesn't show my military service. My manifest entry does however give a complete run down of my service. Unfortunately the manifest is down while being updated. FYI, 4 plus years in the Army, 24th ID(pre-mech), 1-509th ABCT for 25 months, re-upped for Ft. Benning where I was a green hat at the Tower Training Branch. An automobile accident ended my career with a 60% disability(the VA rated it at 70%). In addition to BAC I attended and completed JOTC, PNCOC, received my Belgium Jump Wings and was a Sergeant at the time of the accident. Satisfied?

509, you can actually view the manifest now and even edit your profile there. I just don't think new entries can be added yet

Devil, I don't think anyone can look at a manifest entry other than their own, which means I am the only one that can look at my entry.

When you said "quals" I had no clue what you were talking about. Those of us that have been here awhile filled out our manifest entry in detail early on and so didn't necessarily put that info in our profile. I have been a member of this board for almost three years and have been completely upfront about my time in the Army. Quite frankly I am not used to people questioning my service in that manner.[!]

FYI, there is a reason why it doesn't show the e-mail address when you send someone a message through the system. I edited your post to take out your address and mine.

509... Let me again state my position. I am not airborne. I served with airborne units, I have earned airborne wings outside of the military. I was in no way questioning your quals... I was simply stating that when I pulled up your profile it said zero. If in fact you are the real deal, other people on the net know who you are, you have my profound apologies. Perhaps I am used to nets where everyone that claims to be, has it in their profile.
