Scott- forgive me if you've said before, where are you going for basic and when? Because at Benning they weren't allowed to have anything besides letters- and pushups were required for any decoration on the letters. (my ex- husbands GF loved that, she put stickers and drew little designs, my son wanted to kill her!) No magazines, no books, no food, nothing.
