What's going on
I spent over 2 years in 2/75 and had to leave due to dual-citizenship after I got my Tab and was a BTL. My original plan was to go to 10th Grp since I grew up in Germany, to an american father and a french mother and hence had a good feel for the culture. And I have a friend or two in Col Springs. After that my ambitions were crushed so I went down the road to 5/20 and spent another 16 months there. The only reason I went there is because I knew I'd be in good hands with my 1SG who had been in RGT his whole life.
I was really bitter during that time because I left in Aug 2001. The rest is history and I didn't get to go to the show.
I am fluent in French, german and English, so if there are any guys out there who feel more comfortable to communicate in any other language that I speak, then go right ahead.
Disgruntled is not even close to describing the way I felt when I left 2/75 on some BS reason. Had a lot more ambition to do bigger and better things in the Army, which of course isn't possible without that SECRET clearance. The good thing is they noticed after I put in the first dozen applications. Good stuff.
I've left on good terms and stay in contact as much as possible with some of my Boys in SOCOM.
Right now I'm a Marketing Manager running my own business in Germany and I am starting to see one or two perks of the civilian life.
You guys seem to have a really good community here and I'm proud to read and share opinions with all of you during the daily poop meetings

Wow, things have changed. The Army helped to rush my naturalization so I could get a clearance and be in Batt back in the late '70's. Welcome Matador. Good to see another 2/75 here.
