Hey Rios, you got any of those links to my old ISA/TCA unit or are they "permanently downsized".

We periodically have new members on the Board asking about what airborne units there are in the Army. Below are links to the official sites of the airborne infantry units in the Army:

173rd Airborne Brigade, Vicenza, Italy
http://www.setaf.army.mil/skysoldiers/default.htm

82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC
http://www.bragg.army.mil/www-82dv

1st Battalion, 501st PIR, Ft. Wainwright, Alaska
http://www.usarak.army.mil/1501/1501web.htm

1st Battalion, 507th PIR, Ft. Benning, GA
http://www-benning.army.mil/Airborne/

1st Battalion, 509th PIR, Ft. Polk, LA
http://www.jrtc-polk.army.mil/opfor/Opfor.htm

5th Special Forces Group, Ft. Campbell, KY
http://www.campbell.army.mil/5thsfg.htm

And even though they are not on jump status:

101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, KY
http://www.campbell.army.mil/division.htm

Each of these is available as a specific enlistment option(except 5th Group), although the availability of slots varies.

Also, the following SOCOM unit has airborne slots:

160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Ft. Campbell, KY
http://www.campbell.army.mil/160soar.htm

Quinman can give more information on the 160th.

There are a number of LRS and Pathfinder units around the Army on jump status, but to my knowledge they are not available as an enlistment option. Also, XVIII Airborne Corps has some Corps units on status which may be enlistment options(engineer, artillery, LRS, etc.) but some one who was stationed at Bragg would have to identify them.

For any TACP hopefuls here is a cool site about our USAF paratrooper brothers. One of our members "jfly" sent me the link.

I went ahead and made this a "sticky" topic (I think) it has the answers to allot of questions that people ask on a daily basis.

Thanks for taking the time to put it together Ranger Rios[thup]
