It is in Christ and through Christ that we may have eternal life. Unlike combat patrolling operations where we had multiple routes to the objective, there are no contingency routes to heaven. To choose Christ is to choose life. To reject Christ is to choose death.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
The good news is that one only has to believe and receive. Christ then comes to dwell within and change your life, just as he promised his first disciples!
