LLVI Guy- Don't know about the DZ. The A-10 range was plenty busy, though. Every once in a while you'd hear the monster fart. Oh, and believe it or not, there was a comanche there! First time I've ever seen one, it was flying over post. I thought it was cool.

PLDC did provide one key advantage to me later in my career... One particular PAC clerk I helped get through the field portion later became the NCOIC of the MILPO on Ft. Campbell. Anytime one of my troopies or I needed something done there, we never had to wait in line and the issue was resolved efficiently.

I went last summer abouts, shortly after they renamed if from PLDC to WLC at Bragg.
It was entertaining during the field exercise watching some of the support types react to contact.
