The yes man finally said yes to the right question!
Finally got a warrior in that slot. CSA England... sounds like a winning team already.

Has that been announced? I haven't seen anything that says a decision has been made.

The latest information as of last week's Army Times. The deadline for sending packets in for consideration to be next SMA has passed. There is a board that will meet in mid-November to review the packets and make their recommendations to the CSA. At that time the CSA will make select on CSM for the position out of those submitted by the board.

hit_it, wings don't necessarily provide you with a paratrooper mind, over the years you can develop a leg mentality specially if you are a 5-jump commando. Just click on the "ENI" link on my signature to get an idea of why so many of us dislike "yes man" Tilley.

SO YOU GUYS HATE TILLEY BECAUSE HE DIDN'T ECHO THE SOLDIERS SENTIMENT ABOUT THE BLACK BERET? I WOULD SAY HE WENT THE ROUTE OF A POLITICIAN HERE BUT I WOULDN'T GO SO FAR AS TOO CALL HIM A YES MAN.
I HATE THE BERET BEING ON LEGS HEADS. I ALMOST RECIEVED A LETTER OF REPRIMAND FOR PUBLICLY STATING THAT. I WAS KICKED OUT OF A "CERTAIN UNIT" FOR DENOUNCING IT. BUT I DON'T THINK TILLEY IS A YES MAN BECAUSE HE DIDN'T OPENLY OPPOSE IT. HE WAS DOING HIS JOB AS A CSM AND SUPPORTING HIS COMMANDER.

Hit it, the problem is that, as SMA, Tilley had a responsibility to go into Shinseki' Office, close the door, and tell him that his "idea" was Bravo Sierra. He did not.
The second job of a good NCO is to square away his Officer ---especially before he screws up -- wouldn't you agree ?
