I forget if that was the time I broke my leg or went to BNCOC, I know I wasn't all that sad to miss it.

quote: Anyone remember the Carnival they used to have in the park?
That was always a blast, instead of winning stuffed animals you won bottles of cheap wine at the games.
quote: Oh, and what was the name of that bar in front of the Vicenza train station??
URRRR I can't remember I can't remember the name of that place, We always seemed to end up there for at least few beers before we got on the train to head for points unknown.
Did anybody else ever make a habit of hauling ass back to post Sunday afternoon before the chow hall closed because you were broke from the weekend and hadn't eaten since Saturday afternoon because you thought it was smarter to spend your money on beer instead of food? I learned quick ALWAYS buy a round trip train ticket.
Is the chow hall still at the the other end of post from the Barracks? I used to hate being hung over and having to make that walk.

| When I was there, you still had to walk across post to the chow hall. If you were standing in the door of the chow hall and facing out, the big-ass parade field was your view. I hated standing out there in a pickle suit for hours on end whenever there was a major post ceremony.

Damn this has been bugging me since we brought it up. This is the first time in 13 years that I ALMOST wanted to call my ex-wife that still lives there to ask her
