Doing okay Sergeant Major, other than starting to feel my age a little (just turned 40). When I ETS'd at Vicenza in 1988 I was made out of elastic. I don't know what happened to it.

It's also a little bit of a shock to look at the 101st website and see that the 327th CSM is CSM Malloy, and realize that I knew him as PFC Malloy, my assistant gunner.

CSM Malloy sat on my promotion board to SGT back when I was a young Specialist..I put his brigade through JRTC last year. He is a good man, leader, and best of all...former 11C!!!

He was my assistant machine gunner when I was a Spec. 4, and he was a PFC, in Second Platoon, C Co, 3/325. When I made E-5 and went to Third Platoon, C Co. as a fire team leader he was one of Second Platoon's gunners. He must have become an 11C after I ETS'd.

ML, no sweat.  Guys will talk about that some but as we look at current events and look back a lot of what we remember are the friends and the times we had out in the field.  Feel free to hang around.  I hope you find some others in your situation.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Forgive that last post. I'm a hellraiser and was looking for hellraisers.

It dawned on me you all for the most part are 20-30 years my senior. If I'm close to 40 then.....well, you get the picture.

There really is no place for me here. I was there but in a totally different capacity. I was not protecting and defending the Constitution.

I'm still looking for someone with my circumstances. After 25 years I have yet to find anyone like that Miller kid that hung around the '09.

Actually, we aren't all that much older than you are.  Some of us have just had different experiences.  I was in Italy from late '87 until late '90.

The main reason you don't see a lot of "I raised hell" stories is because most of us have been visiting this web-site for a few years now, and we've already told those lies... er... uh... embellishments.  You could probably search through the archives for days and days, or you could probably just hang out for a while, bullshit for a bit, and eventually see those stories come back to the top again.  I know how it feels to find a resource such as this that puts you in touch with a part of your life you never thought you'd visit again.  Just give it time and don't get greedy looking for treasure.

You can't expect to strike gold on the first swing of the pick.

I think it went:  This one time, at Septembers...the "fish sisters" and these 6 troopers....

Do you listen to yourself when you talk; or do you just fade in and out?

Was that before the trip out to nord Est or afterwards? There was this one time in Jeslo....

I think Jeslo was the one with the German Girls on holiday...or the 15 year old British chicks, 49 beers and a bottle of clamato as lube....

Do you listen to yourself when you talk; or do you just fade in and out?
