I figured they used elevaors to raise and lower the aircraft to the upper deck, but, how do they move the aircraft around in the belly of the ship? Or does each aircraft have its' own elevator, and it's simply stored belowdecks in that elevator?
Pump, huh?
What's a welldeck?

No, I think that he's talking about the big 'chin spoiler' in the front.[ ] I would say it has something to do with an offloading ramp too. And since it is a catamaran, I'm sure it is above the water line at high speed.
The Army should buy some of these. Now is this considered a ship or a boat?

Planning on getting 17 of them Delta.

Cool pics sh0t!!! Those forward facing things we were talking about earlier look like outriggers for the catamaran possibly.
For the price of the Stryker Program, the Army could buy around 60 of these HSV's. With 60 of these, the Army could preload those with a lot of M1 Abrams and M2 Braleys for quick deployment.

I love these things. They will fit nicely in the MEU.
Different sizes would probably be the thing.

As the Corps and Navy are concerned, they are wonderful and will be loved in the fleet.
Well sh0t, the problem is that the Army cannot buy it's own airlift. The Army would need to buy C-17's, a lot of them, but they are not allowed to. However, they can buy this ship. At 500 tons of cargo, this ship can carry the equivalent payload of 10 C-17s. So 60 of these ships could haul the equivalent of 600 C-17 sorties. I'd call that pretty damn significant.
