Hey, im getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow at 0900.
I told my recruiter about it and he said its fine. I was given 4 types of medication and Im just wondering if maybe my recruiter forgot some obscure reg, and somehow this could jack up my Army career?

None that i've ever heard of, I know several people who've had their wisdom teeth pulled while in the service or preparing to enter.

Pain killer medication subscribed by a Doctor for temporary relief is authorized.

Get your teeth pulled, enjoy the codeine and eat some ice cream, you'll be good to go in a week.

I had mine pulled at Ft. Bragg by an Army dentist. Fun... The needle nose plyers weren't rusty though LOL... They also capped one of my teeth that I had had a prior root canal on (and was dead and starting to turn black)...

I have around 8 weeks until ship date.
Got them done this morning, its not really that painful. Should I stop talking the hydrocodone because I dont need it for the pain?

If you don't need the meds, don't take them.

Wait, let me rephrase that - if you don't need the PAIN meds, don't take them. If you've got antibiotics, etc. you usually need to take them to completion, even if it seems that you don't need them. (I know you were asking about the pain meds, I just thought I'd throw in my additional $.02)
