falcon don't tell me that you made your wife an accessory to your toaster loving "hate crimes" I can see it now both of you speeding away in that red car down the highway with you shooting bread out the toaster at the highway patrol in hot pursuit like some Bonnie and Clyde movie?  I don't know maybe it's because it's nice and cold outside, which is GREAT, or the whole time change another great thing I don't know why the hell I rambling right now.

No...you don't match the wife with the toaster...the dish washer must match the fridge!

JOEL0622 (12/16/2004)

Mount Berico. I loved that run. Something about running through the city early in the morning. The only thing better was the Battalion run out the back gate through the neighborhood raising hell.

Over the last 20 years some of the details of the Berico route have slipped out of my mind. Especially since I never liked running much and always tried to mentally retreat to some inner place in the back of my mind and just "float" through the runs. But I do remember that soon after you crossed the river you came to this long, steep set of steps. You could either take the steps, which was shorter but more intense I thought, or you could continue up a road, seems like there was some switchbacks, to the top. I liked the steps best but we were told one time not to use the steps anymore. Seems that the locals had complained about running troopers brushing past them on the narrow steps, and evidently one trooper had fallen on the steps and wiped out a couple of nuns out for an early morning stroll.

Aim small; miss small.
