That DZ had to be the largest, longest, flatest DZ I ever encountered in the military. Yet, for every boundary cone (see 'em in the background, yellow and white), at least 3 troopers came down on one. Eerie.

Cold Weather Training in the Dolomites/Alps. Brrrrrrrrrr. A lot of troopers learned how to ski here. The only problem is that the skiis provided by the military are cross country/downhill hybrids that lock down at the heel. Any amount of stress or hard torque would release the heel lock down and create a flapping death trap of flying ski lumber. Corporal Heston Bower demonstrates the first step of a ski enema here.

PONTAIBA!!!!!!!!!!!!! My god the memories on that one. I had a few them ski enema's and it wasnt pretty at all.!!!!!!! Septembers? (Looking around for lighting strikes) NEVER heard of the PLACE!!!! I Swear I was on POST I SWEATR TO IT!!!
