This morning after I woke up and right before I got into the shower saw a newspiece on the local news channel. Late last night, Al Ertman, a 70-year old 82nd Airborne Veteran was shot to death by a prowler. He had been in his home with his wife when he heard a loud disturbance from a cross the street, when he went to check it out, he found a burglar. What police beleive then occured is that the burglar killed him and he mortally wounded the burglar (who later died en route to the hospital) Mr Ertman was a member of the 82nd Airborne in the early 50's (I beleive it was 1952-1955) What a crappy way to start your day

RIP, sir.....

For a Paratrooper, going down fighting and killing DEFINITELY beats dieing by old age and misery in a nursing home.  We should all be that lucky one day.  Great job and RIP trooper!!!!!!!!!
