I was just told that if I'm not in H Company (LRSD) I can't go to Jump school. I'm not giving up, but it doesn't look good.[ !][ !][bang][bang][cencrd][cencrd]
Oh... I just asked about Air Assault and I got a "nope" on that as well. [ !][ !][bang][bang][cencrd][cencrd]
I started a thread about this a couple of days ago and nobody replied.
Any suggestions?

Does EOBC offer any slots to honor grads?

Any chance you could trade your projection as an EN officer for MI or SC, and then try to get assigned to the 20th SF Group? Or even better, try out for SF via the 20th if you're so inclined? Just thinking "outside of the box" so to speak.

Armenian, as an Engineer officer you are not going to get an airborne slot in the Ga. Guard...no airborne enginner companies. I served in one of the few airborne engineer Bn.s in the Army, 307th Engr.Bn, 82d Abn. Div. So unless you go active and make it to the 307th, your options are rather limited.
Either try a branch change to infantry and try to get a Inf. Plt. leaders slot in Company H (my old outfit) or stay engineer and try out for an SF slot as previously advised...but you'll have to rebranch to SF I'm sure. You may have to change branches or even give up your commision and try the enlisted route (easier)due to number of enlisted slots versus officer slots. Shoot me an e-mail and maybe we can put our heads together.I just got assigned to Troop Command and may be able to steer you to someone who can help.

Keep your head up and listen to these guys Armenian! I like most the others here want all the new guys, legs and what not to get their wings too,so I get kinda bummed when I hear some are having difficulty getting BAC or assigned to a unit on status.

Hell, my initials are JMP. You'd think that would be good for something. I should have had the freaking brains to do it right when I enlisted in 1988... but Noooo....
