Ok,here goes.I am trying to contact my old buddy who is/was CSM of 1/87 during OEF,particularly during Anaconda. He was on the news, per se,so I do not see a Persec/Opsec violation here.Still,I would like to be prudent.Do I attempt PAO for the division?Or go to the Divisions Home page, then individual units? There are several options,I just would like the best one available.Personal phone call to the CSM? E-mail?All,of course,I would provide my bonafides as neccessary. He was a good troop, hard charger..I served with him in Italy in the same platoon(same squad for a period),then we got the same company and platoon at Bragg(tho I PCS'ed to Bragg about 4 months before him). He's a good dude.Had many a wild party with him.... Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.

K-Dog, a buddy of mine who I recently got in contact with from the old days said that he was able to find allot of people at AKO Army Knowldege online. I haven't tried to access the site or sign up. Don't know if you have to be active duty to get info on active duty personel but here is the link if you want to give it a shot https://www.us.army.mil/portal/portal_home.jhtml Here is who it says is eligible Eligibility: Active Army, Reserve, National Guard, DA Civilian, Retired Army, and Army guests.

I know that I found my old 1SG by just going to the subordinate unit's homepage. It had the contact info on it....
