Hey Guys ~
Some of you may be interested in this activity.
The group sponsoring it is called Pathfinder. They are a group of former paratroopers (based in the UK, Canada and Europe) who travel all over the world doing fun jumps with foreign military paratroopers, and earning their jump wings.
You can find links to most of their sites here:

If you're interested, contact Sgt Roy Mobsby (UK 5 Abn Bde retired) direct at the e-mail address below for more info.
Regards,
JR

PATHFINDER EXPEDITION TO CAMBODIA
CAMBODIA 2004
Pathfinder will be running an expedition to Cambodia in March 2004. In 2003 Stef Eicker took a small International group of members to Asia. The visit was a great success, Ian Marshall developed a fan club and Richard Lowry was accused of being Special Forces.Maamar made friends for life of some of the senior officers. A return visit was requested by the Cambodians and we have accepted. The Cambodian army has nothing, poor equipment, no money. They do however have a great sense of humour, are extremely friendly and have a keen enthusiasm to learn anything new? They are struggling to rebuild their country after the CMA rouge destroyed it.
We have managed to secure a number of Parachutes, both military spec round canopies and freefall not to mention a couple of sport rigs. As per the first visit our intention is to get enough jumpers on the trip to pay for the equipment and carry it across. The most expensive part of this trip will be your flight. This will not be a luxury trip. We intend staying in cheap B+B or barracks (no five star hotels). However if anyone wishes to organise their own accommodation while we are out there they may as long as they are able to parade at the right place at the right time with the rest of the group. The more jumpers we get the more kit we can take across. This is not a "Chest full of wings" event but a mission to help Paratrooper brothers in need. This is what the Airborne Brotherhood is all about.
The plan as it stands...................................
On arrival at Bangkok, stay at the Special Forces barracks or local B+B. Ground training will be carried out by all and this couple of days will be used to retrain and get acclimatised. Ian Marshal will be in charge of all training and Maamar will act as the Interpreter. One jump will be carried out in Thailand, gaining one set of wings, possibly two. The group will then cross the border into Cambodia and be the guests of the Cambodian Special Forces. Several activities are planned including their anti terrorist range, absailing and possibly three parachute jumps for their wings. If everything goes according to plan one jump will be a demo into the temple area. The party will then return to Bangkok where your time will be your own until your individual flights home. It is expected to be approximately a ten day trip. Each jumper will travel light (A kit list will be issued) and carry one set of kit. Any kit carried over and above will be at the jumpers expense
At the moment we only need to know who is seriously interested. Until this event is fully priced up I will not be asking for deposits but I would like anyone interested to contact me now.

Hey - Be advised, guys -
I'm not putting this info here as an ENDORSEMENT - It's just INFORMATION...
I can't speak to the quality of any of these organizations, but maybe someone else can.

I went on a jump tour last year, it F*CKING ROCKED!!!!! I got 4 sets of wings and met a ton of great Para's from all over the world. I am going on a tour to Europe again this spring and one in Cambodia this fall. Im not sure if its the same tour with a different group because the Thai part is not in my tour but it is about $1500 to $2000 dollars cheaper. You really have to do your homework on these tours. There is one run by Rob Krott that is SOOO overpriced its el ridiculoso. There are quite a few out there you just have to be careful. I wish someone would put together a Caribbean/South/Central American tour I want to get more wings AND lay on the beach drunk....is that to much to ask?
PBR me ASAP
