I saw this movie last night and it was interesting.

http://lutherthemovie.com/

It was obviously a Catholic bash from the jokes put in the dialogue. The Catholic Church had serious problems then (as now), but I don't think and haven't read that it was as absolutely and purely evil as this movie. It was interesting to say the least.

PBS had a rather good Luther documentary (part documentary, part-movie) a few weeks back. It was, of course, more historical and informative as documentarys tend to be. But I look forward to seeing this movie as there is a certain something that the story-telling manner of films can do better than any documentary.

Having been, for a time in my life, associated with the Lutheran church and also a student of the reformation, I think I will stick to more objective formats than mainstream Hollywood! Besids, finding a local theater NE of Baghdad is a bit difficult!

I really enjoyed this movie. It will explain in a detailed and wonderful way exactly what Martin Luther was all about and how God used him to change the Church. but I would have preferred more dates on the different events/points of his life or on the story itself.

That's a nice take on the subject. God knows the Church needed changing then.

my wife and I enjoyed the movie, although it was a bit Hollywood, and some documentary.
It was a good relief from trash that Hollywood has put out, although most people went to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and other do nothing for u movies, we do need more movies of the same type.
I will but this DVD when it comes out.

I can't wait till it's showing in Atlanta. It's about time there was a movie I want to go see.
