I dunno why, but someone sent this to me. I just thought I'd post it here.

Subject: And we said OK. How True

How True

In light of the many perversions and jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding the attacks on Sept. 11).

Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.

And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools,
and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school . the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they WILL think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has meyou rit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in!

I have read this before and there are some very valid points! Why would people object to discussing God? Might it be because the Enemy has a hold on this sin sick world? Could it be because discussing God makes folks nervous? I would love to hear some thoughts on this one!

I dunno. My best guess is some are angry because they had some form of religeon forced upon them, and others....well, I dunno what the heck their problem is.

I'm also kinda p*ssed that the vocal Atheist activists out there claim to speak for us all when they do not.

In their (atheist) quest to rid God and religeon from all public life, because they say they are tired of it being forced upon them. Yet by trying to rid God and religeon, they are forceing their personal beliefs onto others.

See a religeous symbol in public, no one forces them (atheists) to look at it. Hear someone praying next to them (atheists) in class, noone forces them (atheists) to listen, or belive.

They (atheists) choose to, listen and look and it's because of that, they feel guilty for not believing, which in turn, angers them.
And out of that anger, arrogance, and
self righteousness, control them, which leads them on a crusade of narcissism and hate, they don't want to see or hear any of it, because they know the truth will condemn them.

I agree with much of what you say, Especially that they don't want to face the truth that they will die condemned to an eternity separated from God because of heir unbelief. I have yet to hear someone come out against Hare Krishna, Budda or any other false religion. A heart that knows God exists, beating in a person living in rebellion against God, will always become guiltfully angry. Perhaps we should pray that somehow God will cause heir hearts to turn toward them so that intsead of condemning them the TRUTH can set them free!

With all due respect, how can you claim another's religeon is fake?

If you believe that the only true religeon is Christianity than how can you contamplate a God who ignores 2/3 of the population until the Missionaries spread their religeon to the heathens?

I have nothing against mankind, its people I can't stand.

Their religions are not fake. They many times ae vry religious in that they strictly observe the tenets of their faiths. I did use the term false in agreement with Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except through me."

God has ignored no one and desires that no man be condemned, but that all come to know Him in truth. He loves His creation and I sometimes wonder if there is a tear in His eye when He sees how man has really messed up a lot of it.

I am not one who subscribes to the belief that if a man nevers hear specificlly about Christ that he is condemned. I believe a man is judged on how he responds to the light that he has been given.

Abraham never heard the word Jesus, but believed God and was considered righteousness because of his faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9 states that it is only by the grace of God that we can be saved, not by anything we do. No one is capable of complete obedience. Therefore Christ lived a sinless life and died in our place so that we might be saved. All other religions are based on a merit system of some sort based on a salvation that is all or in part based on works.

Thank you for your comment! If you arebangry at God you must believe that He exists. I don't know anyone who beomes angry at someone who is not there! May He richly bless your spirit!

That is what finally did it for me. I was tired of hearing, oh, they're wrong! Or this group is wrong! And our religeon...yadda yadda yadda.

I am not Angry at God. I was at one time. But that was when I did belive.

Now, I follow no faith. and belive in no higher power.

My post above was to those Atheist who claim not to blive...but secretly do.
