While I never met the man but think he should be a role model for all NCOs just based on what little of his writing's I have read.

There are "recommended" reading lists that have been published by the Army for the junior enlisted, NCOs, and Officers. This article by CSM Purdy should be at the top of all three lists.

The funny thing is that everyone here is talking about how everything changes...I welcome all of you to the 75th Ranger Regiment..Nothing has changed...SO now picture my shock when I got to 5/20 Inf
