I got back from MEPs around 5pm AZ time and was there since 6am. The paperwork, blood pressure and the vision/hearing tests went fast. The urine test was a problem since I had to wait and really had to go, easily filled the cup up and could have filled a second cup. Then had to wait for the blood withdrawl and physical portion which took a couple of hours. I barely passed the body fat test which I knew I was close and losing wait quickly now that I am working out more then once a week. It was hard during the kick portion of the joint checkup from kaing although I had my hands up in a guard position(9yrs martial arts).

I got Airborne School and Rangers and I ship out March 16,2004 for 16wks of fun at Ft. Benning. I'll be going in as an E4 since I have a bachelors of science and taking advantage of the LRP.

The best thing was when I took the oath, before the oath the oath giver, a Navy Lt Cmdr, gave a little speech on whats expected of us and I almost shed a tear on the impact of what I have done and will be doing. I feel damn good about myself and damn proud to serve my country.

Congratulations on passing and taking the oath. Now, get out and work your butt off! You'll need to be in peak condition to get where you want to be. Good luck!

Of course I'll PT my but off and I will enjoy it, the only thing I didn'y like about the physical was that I had to delay my workout for 12hrs...

Blue Firebird - Benning for Boot? If you do let me know and we'll try to meet. Another enlistee leaves for Campbell on the 4/17 and then does to Benning for BAC.
