You cannot wear contact in airborne correct? So you must wear glasses... i hate wearing my glasses, my vision is so-so. If I get laser eye-surgoery does that affect my chances of being airborne?

Cant you just wear goggles to keep the dirt out of your eyes? Its also really annoying to wear anything like that over your glasses ( for example ski goggles). I'd like to get laser eye surgeory and I even heard the army will pay for it. If I wear my glasses for the first year or so and then get laser eye surgeory am I good to go? Thanks again!

you have to wear glasses in all training, no contacts. But I think once your stationed in your unit you can wear contacts, is it the same for airborne?

Laser surgery is an option, but not a guaranteed one... You have to meet specific criteria after the surgery in order to be accepted, and this includes a waiver. I have the waiver form, but no recollection where I got it from. Email me at chris_a_mcbride_AT_hotmail.com (replace _AT_ of course).
