Just to be fair, bnz is pretty squared away and nice kid. HH6 is backing a batch of cookies to send to him, and I'm going to talk to my daugthers 4th grade teacher and ask if they will send him letters/adopt him.
I on the other hand will be writing his Senior Drill as to my disappointment that a Drill Instructor FAILED to make create a significant emotional event in his life, so that a trainee actually forgot his name. Also that fact that when I stand up, I'm not leaning toward Georgia, those trainee's obviously are not pushing Ft. Benning to China.

When you get to basic, you'll live for mail call. The fact that I got a least a letter a day (mostly from my girlfriend) kept me going. Anything was welcome....and yeah my brothers had her douse the letters with perfume, she wrote love notes to the drills on outside of the envelopes, sent me panties, got her friends to send my letters. etc. and I got smoked for it.
But there's nothing like gettin' mail, even if you're gettin' smoked.

You're going to get smoked anyway. (At least, you should..) Might as well have a perfumed letter from your girl to read under your poncho by the light of your red lens at 0-dark-30 to show for it.
