2/162 INF will be deploying with 1st Cav next year, so if you're NG or prior service, they can get you onboard with relative ease. A buddy of mine can work out just about anything regarding logistics (place to stay, Oregon address, etc.), so don't worry about that. Travel to exciting new places, meet interesting new people...well, you know the rest!

actually even if you are a resident of like say washington or idaho, you can still join the oregon guard with that out of state address. Thats what I am doing.

Hey, I am a reservist looking to transfer. I will consider dropping a grade or two. Hell to be honest I would go back as an E5 if I was sure that it was to go to Iraq or A'stan. 12B3V on active duty. 11 series now.
