He is FULL OF SH#T !!!!
Look I have a 96 on ASVAB and 138 on the GT's ...and I still got lied to and FU#$ED !!!!!!
The Guard has only a tiny handfull of units on jump status.... Most of them are SF and then you have the riggers and then the LRS units..you ONLY get BAC if your unit will allow you to be attached to such a unit...good luck!! Or you directly join such a high speed unit....
The recruter will promise you what you want..then when you process at MEPS and finish your physical and sit to sign...then it's up to you to ask specifics on contract..since they now use a contract on computer which DIFFERS than the paper contract they first have you sign earlier in the day... Then you re-sign a NEW contract electronically on the PC..that they don't go into detail about and brush through it at 100 MPH...make sure you READ the computer contract...they tell you that you can have copies of it after you sign it....what the hell is that crap!!!
This kind of crap is why I backed off.....Well now my birthday was July 1st and now too old to go in..unless I get an age waiver, but this is next to impossible to get from what I hear....
Good Luck..
Chris

wow, that is shitty..
I will definatly make sure i get to read the computerized version. And if they dont have any units around here that are on jump status i will probably head on over to the Army recruiter etc etc.
Eyes, ultimatly for active that is what i would ask for maybe 19D but more than likely 11b

I sent you an e-mail eyes, just wondering if you got it, if you didn't anyway I just wanted to say thanks again for helping me out, and that goes for all you guys, being able to keep the recruiter in check on what he tells me, and know from guys that have btdt what is the truth and what is hot air going up my ass to get me to sign is a real help.
Have not heard back from him if he has found any units that are on jump status, or any rigging units.
so the 2 options i am weighing right now is
1. Check to see if they really ARE sending the Pendleton Cav to Air Assault, and sticking with that for now.
2. Toss my hat in for Active and see what I can get from them on a MEPS contract.
will keep you guys updated as things unfold
