I could be wrong, but i think they can change that stuff once you get to reception and get inproccessed into the army. When i was going through i asked for several things that weren't in my contract and got them no problem

OK...
Thanks to everyone with assistance and advice..
As it stands.. I showed up on Monday morning June 30th in Los Angeles MEPS and sat there thinking it over and over and then walked out because I couldn't come to terms with doing 8 years straight of "one weekend a month" I was "originaly" told 3 years Guard enlistment with 5 years of INACTIVE reserve, which I was totally ready to do..Then when I was signing papers..THATS when they changed it to to 8 years and I basically needed more time to think it over with my family and also with job situation..ect, but I did not have a fair amount of time to work through this issue.....I had a messy discharge from USMC with only a little over 8 months in USMC..So according to the regulations, and I read them over carefully, I would have to serve Guard 8 years minus the 8 1/2 months in USMC..So this is about 7 years and 3 months of active Guard with NO inactive reserve status available..it says so for my particular case since I am classified as a GNPS.....
So at this time my insides feel like they are rotting away and I am depressed and sick to my stomach over this...My only chance to go back is if I decide that 7 and 1/2 years is worth the trouble.... I can then try to obtain an age waiver..But I heard that it is almost impossible to get one...Who would I see for such a waiver if I decide to do this in the next few months..
Regards
Chris
