OK children, I am speaking from just my point of view. You CAN serve in the Guard or Reserves with up to a 30% disability. There is a guy in my unit doing just that.

You cannot draw disability and be on active duty. You can waive your disability and try to get back on active duty, that I don't know about.

In order to be in the Guard or Reserves with a disability you have to be able to pass a MEPS physical. I transferred from the Army reserves to the Air Force and have passed 14 flight physicals since being here.

You can reach your goals, I am living proof...beefcake.

From what I know there is a form you fill out that will stop your disability pay while you are on active (weekend) duty.

I spoke with a NG Recruiter the other day and he sent me a VA Form. I'll post the form # when I get home. From what the recruiter told me and what I read of the form, I CAN recieve my 30% disability from the VA while in the NG or Reserves. I would only waive the 4 days a month that I get paid from the NG or Reserves and 15 days during the summer. SOOO, hell, thats gonna be around $225.00 or so, est., a month from the VA and then a NG Check. WOW, all that and I get paid too, WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
