Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but...

I was wondering if any of you guys had any resources you could share with me to find out more about my grandfathers service record, as indicated in my profile, he never really talked much about it, and the coincidences of him being in the same places as merrels mauraders at roughly the same time kind of interests me. He never said what his rank was, all he said was he was stationed in india, and china durring the war and he drove trucks. then he went Airborne after the war. I know he was airborne for a fact because my aunt got his jump wings when he died (ungreatful b!tch)

if any of you guys can help me out that would be great

his name was Victor Eldon Sword Jr.

If you have his SSN I believe you can get a copy of his service record. I have wanted to do this for a awhile as well. Great Uncle in the 101st and Grandfather in Navy. So if anybody knows who to contact please let us know.
