well they can do forward position of equipment and armor like the Marines do. Sure is faster to send ships full of tanks from Diego Garcia then from Texas

I have nothing against mankind, its people I can't stand.

After hanging with YOU gents for some time now. I don't think that I as a Marine would hesitate to step into battle with Army paratroopers. It's the rest of the Army that concerns me. But, if we have boots, ammo, chow, and water, what else do we need besides Delta6 or Arctic to lead the way?

Well actually,Tom,the 3rd ID didn't do too,too bad in Iraq...[ ][thumbUp][ ]For legs, anyway!!Actually, could you imagine a "Department of the Land Forces"?It's really not that unfeasible,if the budget conscience nay-sayers have their say.As far as transportation, how about a "Department of Military Transport"?They would have the say-so on production of equipment, both ship and plane, used for said transportation of Military men and equipment. This would free up both Navy AND Air Force requirements for transportation, and give them MORE bucks.Man,I like thinking in a funny way...[ ][82nd][E6][uswingsr][infantry][scout]
