I didn't think much about Travolta after hearing about this. But then a friend of mine, (retired full bird) saw a different interview with him. He said Travolta was praising the Rangers and that they were truely his heroes. He talked about their sacrifices and hard work and that he was truely impressed with them. He then talked about the tatoo that he has and he said that he trained with them for three days and that it was the 3/75 Rangers who wanted him to get the tatoo. That they wanted him to get it and he did because of their request. My friend said he was very impressed with Travolta as he only had the highest praises of the Rangers and he got no impression that Travolta felt he was their equal. So maybe what he said on Leno was taken somewhat out of context or he misspoke or he changed his tune after getting some flack. Anyway he seems to be talking different now.
