| Well, during the PNET World HQ upheaval I managed to hose up a $25 3 piece CA speaker set (cheap so while annoying I am not weeping over thier demise). Since it pains me to have to listen to the almost inaudable tin can sounding monitor speakers or sucks wearing the headset I am in the market to replace the set as cheaply as possible without pissing money away mind you. This leads me to go digging for a deal on a 3 piece (2 speakers and a sub for those wondering) in the $50 or under category. There are a lot of them out there but I think I am zeroing in an Altec Lansing model with some good features. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3296568&CatId=2893 Decent power (I dont often get a chance to DJ for the house so no need to rattle the walls) Control piece that has the volume control, headset and even an actual mic (I tend to like this because then you can situate the speakers and not have to control volume and such ON it so if you like them at the far ends of your desk or up high.. its not a pain. Separate bass volume ON the bass (good because this is usually a set and occationally tweak) and keeps it from being an ON/OFF proposition where your desk sounds like the bass freak car at the intersection next to you and you can hear the license plate rattle. Ok, I know I sound pretty sold on these and I've looked around but I was wondering if anyone either had experience with these or had any other opinions or recommendations.

| It sounds (no pun intended) like a set I got for my HH6 about 3 years ago. I forget the brand, but price, asset, and ability wise, it is similar.
All the way, sir!!!
