CONGRATULATIONS! You are now Ranger qualified. Now you gotta still do time as a Batt boy

I named my poolhouse the "Gator Lounge" just to remember all of the fun nature walks, aquatic activities and daily buffet being dished out by those incredibly friendly RI's

I had a classmate of mine that came in from being recycled who smuggled in a block of white chocolate carved into a bar of soap

I also had Randy Schugart in my class but unfortunately I never got to know him.

Heh... we called it "watching Ranger TV" all day if you were stuck on the perimeter pulling security during planning. Unfortunately the only channel was Animal Planet. On one patrol during Florida I saw a yellow and red grasshopper that had to be 4-5" long. It reminded me of those big grasshopper fishing lures you see in stores that make you say "Oh come on...there are no grasshoppers even close to that big." I stand corrected. Also saw some gigantic millipedes, humongous beetles and palmetto bugs, and watched a handful of praying mantises (one of my favorite bugs). Good times had by all. Regarding smuggling, food wasn't too big of an issue, although I have to admit that white chocolate carved into soap is genius. We had some guys smuggling Copenhagen in hot beverage bags (basically long ziploc bags they put in MREs now to mix drink powders in) that they stuffed into the bladders of their CamelBaks. Unfortunately they got caught during a H&W shakedown during the first day of the 2nd FTX at mountains.

I have a few buddies that were NCOs in the 75th that are pushing me to go to ROP when I'm eligible as well. Need to see how things pan out as a PL and whether or not I can make the cut.

Congratulations!

Now... how much weight did you lose?
