I recieved the following and I can think of no better place than here to direct the request.

Hi Mark, Can you please help me or point me in the right direction for some information from within the 82nd Assc.

We are planning on visiting Normandy next year, in particular the area surrounding Picauville and Chef Du Pont. Prior to arriving there, I'm interested in learning about the events on D-Day that occurred around and on Hill 30 near Caponnet involving J B Shanley. I have read "Affair at Hill 30" by S Marshall with its vague maps, but I was after more detail such as the actual dispositions around the hill or accurate first hand accounts.

Is this kind of information available please? Hope you can help.

My Lord, AJ! What a super link. I could spend hours looking and reading. How do you find this great stuff?

I was lookin around the net for a picture of the Bazooka Badge awarded to Bazookamen in the 82nd during WWII and happened across the link. Good stuff in there.

Wouldn't it be great to find a WWII Bazookaman patch? I didn't know anything about them. There is some real history in than link.
