| geez.. I had a book written and just realized something... Im not interested in nuking every trooper who makes a dumb mistake in a globally enacted zero tollerance policy... each case presents differently... and should be viewed on the circumstances... others are going to argue that I am wrong and want everyone gone if they step out of line (by the way, whats the edge... for a while I thought my 3 years automatically got me the good conduct so I had it on my awards and when I got a new DD214 it was not there... am I a poser or do I get a pass because it was an honest error?) I'll say yes, you'll say no, everyone will say 'its your site' blah blah. Im sick of fighting with fellow paratroopers, I know many of you wont understand that statement but lately a lot of energy has been dumped into defending myself and going after other paratroopers... if we put HALF the energy into something useful we'd be amazed at the results. I am starting to wonder if paratroopers only do well during conflicts. Last word for me, then you can argue amongst yourselves.. form a group, crank up a new site, run the guy off the site... whatever you feel like. I dont know Dav82nd, Im not his mom, Im not his conscience and frankly I wish I didnt have to be the one to make the decisions. I wish he hadnt come to MY site and BS'd, I wish he'd have been squeeky clean from day one till the day he dropped... I wish I could sit at MY computer and just blurt whatever happy remarks I want and be safe in the notion that I dont have any larger responsbility beyond my own remarks and that people wouldnt judge ME or a site I run based on a disagreed decision by another flawed human being just trying to run a site, bring some friends together and make a day just 1/10th better than it would have been without the info or laugh of a friend.

| You know, Mark.... Is this worth it. I don't want my fello Airborne discouraged anymore than you do. I made a mistake....and it is totally screwing with your site. Just let me go and let these guys have their justice. I couldn't ask for more. As it sounds...........there is only one entity that I need to apologize to now. And, that is GOD. I have already said as much to these guys and it doesn't mean anything to some of them. Hell, since I'm about to go, lets just let it out...... I would have been beside any of you guys...all the same and gave my life for you. Yes, I have been and seen a WAR. Some don't think that that War meant much, but we didn't know if that was it for us.... And, I will not be degraded by sounding like I had stomped on the graves of my fello Ranger brothers. That is just wrong to say and I will NOT gratify it. Mark............................please just let me go and let the site heal....Thats all that has to be said.

| Well, I could sit here and wax poetic about the what for and why is but it is clear that no one's mind is going to be changed. Futhermore, nothing I can say will likely bring DAV82nd and his ultimate unrepentant attitude around. I do believe he is quite sorry he got caught. So I'll leave it alone and let the pity party continue.

| So now if a leg or a civilian comes in here claiming to be a Ranger and gets outed will sorry buy them a reprieve? Where it starts and where it ends is ultimately up to the site admin but doing nothing will only encourage others to embellish or outright lie. I am sure Dav, you have kicked your own ass up down and sideways, I don't know you personally and so won't judge you, but rules should be rules and you should be out. Your service as it was is more than most in your country, you should have been proud of that. Paratroopers, and paratroopers websites should be held to a higher standard. Steve.
