I have known the Bulmer family for a long time. I was in shock when I got a phone call yesterday telling me about the tragedy. Hard enough to deal with an enemy in time of war, but for a young man to be killed by a fellow soldier is HORRIBLE. No matter what reason McDonald may present, it is not good enough to explain his actions. My heart breaks for the Bulmer family.

Neither McDonald is a Soldier they are both P.O.S. who should immediately be stripped of their jumpwings and crossed rifles. One of the brothers should die and a slow strangulation with a coat hanger sounds about right, the other should have to watch then receive the beating of his life with a warning of the same sentence if he so much as thinks about committing a serious crime the rest of his miserable life. Maybe he could be forced to pay the Army back for the cost of his training and back pay.

| Pvt. Rick Bulmer was buried today about 10 miles down the road from me at the Clovis cemetery.It was a full Military funeral service,very impressive with many uniforms present.This is the same cemetery where many of our young men who lost their lives in Iraq have been buried in the past few years.

| Dfiremann-Yep. I found their graves while running one day by the prisoners cemetary in the back of post when I was there in the early 90's. Actually there are about 20 of them. I believe all were submariners and all were enlisted except for a junior officer. They killed other German POW's in a POW camp in Arizona who were giving U.S. MP's info. We refused to return them to Germany after the war and instead put them on trial, hung them in the summer of 1945, and buried them there at FT Leavenworth, facing away from Germany. And yes they were kicked down an elevator shaft. I've seen the shaft and a photo of a Colonel with his foot raised up getting ready to kick one of them who was standing there in a noose with a hood over his head, down the shaft. Aaahhhh the good old days. Back when you could give a man a trial and then hang him.

They should just take him outside and put a bullet in his head.Not good enough. Let the troops get some training. Use him as a target on the pop-up range Bayonet Assault Course and get some benefit out of this POS. Fixed it for ya.

Unfortunately, there is a lot we don't know. I agree it wouldn't take long to find out if we had been there when it happened. The thread said the Perp is in County Jail waitin' on events to unfold. My question is why is he in County instead of the Stockade? Why is the Army giving jurisdiction to the Civilian Authorities on this issue?
