So much for Integrity and the Army Values..that Bde Commander is a damn Liar and a morale Coward...gutless POS. Even the Task Force General knew the order by his Bde Commander was unlawful and even though it was worded as a "misunderstanding by subordinates" I think it's safe to say his leash was jerked by the TF Commander. However that NCO needs to be apologized to and all threats need to stop. If not I hope JAG performs an investigation of the COC with criminal charges levied against those who are willfully intimidating this young NCO. Talk about morally bankrupt leaders...

Stand in the door!

Hey - Since he's a paratrooper (Or at least did combat time with the 173rd) - Anybody wanna send him a note through AKO with a link to this thread and an invite to join the Pnet cast of characters?

We need more smart guys around here to offset Al...

dang, ive read through this entire thread. my current duties have me chained to a desk for the first time in my life, which gives me alot of time to read. this combat patch B.S. really gets me going. I am an individual augmentee right now with the OK. national guard and need to point out that the command has treated me exceptionally well, i was only asked once why im not wearing their patch on my right arm, i simply stated my bro was wearing the 116th bct patch on his left arm when he was killed so thats the one i wear. not too mention i havent seen any combat with these guys.

not too change the subject too much, i do have one problem with the combat patches.most of the guys here are wearing the patch they should be, but there is a group(and ive seen it army wide) that spend a small amount of time attached to an active unit and decide to wear that units patch. If your ashamed to be in the national guard, then man up and go active. there are some guys here(my camp is the remf capital of iraq) that spent 32 or 33 days with the 82nd. i ask all that i see what unit they were with, usually all they can tell me is "the 82nd" my reply " yea, but what brigade?"  "oh, i was only there for a month." I dont know why but it makes me want to kick the sh!t out of 'em. maybe this desk is making me crazy. thats my 2 cents, only 4 more months till i get a real mission

Hey SSG. Stick to your Guns man. I'm in Iraq right now and I dont wear a combat patch eather. I'm here and I do my job. I take pride in everything I do, and give 100% in everthing I do. The pride is not in the unit but in myself. So keep your head up and be proud. I wish you the best. Give them HELL man.

HOLLY LGOPS!!!!!! All these posts for lil ol meeeeeeee? Thanks brothers I really am greatful for the support, I will improve this profile and send some links to all the stories. BUUUUUT till then and to stir the pot some more. I was made PSG over here, but once the higher command found out, they managed to find some one with more DOR and NO DEPLOYMENT TIME OR LEADERSHIP TIME, to replace me, sooooooo the pilots and other NCO's who support me made me an operator trainer so the command would have less say so on my daily activities.....he he. The COC here is sooooooo pathetic, one of the CSM's here actually told me not to re-enlist and I was a poor soldier, so to stick it to him I am going to re-enlist and request that CSM do it, never the less it should make another good Stars and Stripes story if he refuses...LOL!!! I wish I stayed Active, these reserve legs have NO CLUE what "ALL THE WAY" really means.

Stick to your guns man!  As far as I'm concerned your on the right track and those trying to punish you for not going along with their stupid game have no idea what really builds moral an esprite.

I have heard of dumb dictates like this before ... but this one is way up there. Where the hell is this Commander's CSM? I'd love to shove an e-tool up where it might makle a plf a bit of a challenge.

Take care guys,
