About me:
Age: ~25
College: Graduating with BS Computer Engineering -- Dec'08
Job: Currently under investigation for Secret clearance with a defense contractor at Tinker AFB
Branch Interests: MI, IN, PSYOP, CA
School Interests: Airborne, Ranger
Plans:
1) Enlist Reserve - O9S with branch in a unit that offers schools above
2) Complete OCS
3) Complete additional training
4) Deploy
As a side note:
There is no reason I would not join the Guard. I'm just having a problem finding "high-speed" units in my area that offer these advanced schools.
I'm willing to travel to bordering states.

Welcome to the site and thank you for your willingness to serve our Country. Be aware that there is only one infantry unit in the Reserves, and that is in Hawaii. Be sure what you want and make sure your paperwork spells out the MOS/school/unit you want(you won't be able to guarantee Ranger School in an enlistment contract).

RockOut (5/15/2008) 509, can you still volunteer for RIP while you're at Jump School?I was in before there was a RIP so this is just an educated guess, you understand. It is possible since the 75th generally has priority, however from what I understand there are no shortage of recruits getting the Regiment in their contract. But RIP wouldn't help our young friend here as he is planning on going Reserves. RIP is only for active duty Soldiers going to the 75th.
